Kevin Costner, the actor has reportedly invested 15 years and $24 million in centrifugal oil separator cleanup system. BP and the Coast Guard plan to test six of his machines on the spill next week.

Costner reportedly has invested 15 years and about $24 million in a unique way of sifting oil spills. He started working on the idea while making his own maritime 1995 film, “Waterworld.”
