Social media and mobile technologies could be changing the way and time it takes for today’s disaster response. Companies such as FierceMobileHealthcare, FierceEMR and FierceHealthIT have reported that iPhones and text messaging have become invaluable tools in medical relief efforts concerning the January earthquake in Haiti.
